[Terra sits on an upraised ledge on his apartment's rooftop, a slice of evening sky behind him. Those who know him might notice he's looking better than he did a month ago: all the color's back in his complexion and the faint bruising under his eyes has faded. If what you'd been living your life towards is gone - completed or impossible - you need to live for something else. This doesn't have to be another mission: most people primarily live for themselves and their family or close friends, not for a cause.
If it's any consolation, I'm sure you're not the only Newcomer wrestling with the question. Even when one's purpose isn't completed or impossible in one's home dimension, it's likely impossible here.

But it does seem like a lot of people have had to figure this out, too.

You've already been told that you need to find another purpose several times here, so repeating that doesn't seem overly useful. Instead - well.
What are you good at doing? What could you become good at doing?
What do you feel needs to happen here in Siren's Port, since that's the only place you can go?
What can you think of where you can use your abilities to accomplish something worthwhile?
If your talent is writing flute music, there's no sense in deciding to paint the world's largest mural. If you think art is pointless, there's no sense in dedicating yourself to either one, no matter how talented you might be.

I'm good at fighting. I was trained to destroy monsters and forces of darkness. That's... about all I can do that's of any use here.
For the city... I'm not sure. It would be great if it could be made safer, but you can't so much as put a dent in the monsters' numbers at night, no matter how long or how hard you fight them.
I should still find something I can do to help more. Even if it can't be made into a dream or a purpose.

[Because that's totally more important.]

Yeah they are, dude. They look even sillier in person than the picture the old man drew.

[At all. In any way. How dare you go around insulting these pants.]

As for your second question, I would say there is no greater purpose then simplying living and enjoying your life. Take time to simply experience all the wonders life has, you may discover a more tangible purpose through it.

Simply living and enjoying life, huh? It sounds nice enough... I've always had a dream in the past, though. It's kind of what I'm used to. One thing to put all my heart into working toward.

I would humbly suggest that you invest that dedication to yourself. Find out who you are, and what you want from life...
