[Kimihiko watches in silence before he speaks, judging his words carefully.]

Batman? Unfortunately I don't think I have heard of you.

Nice show, though.

Because you're new.

As are you. So how can they know who you are?

Why don't you try to find out?

[ She'd almost hoped, there for a second or two, that this sudden reappearance of newcomers would bring that most-important guy with it. But that'd be too much to hope for, right? Right. So she'd kept her hopes locked away, kept up the cursory examinations of all posts made.

Right up until this one, anyway.

There's a hitch of breath, unrecorded in some dark safehouse or another. A sharp spike of it's him is it him how could it be who else could it be it's him he's here, and then she's on her way.

She'll be there 20 minutes early, as she was taught. Perched on the edge of a roof and trying not to fidget.

It's not really working. ]

[ He suspects her the moment he knows that there's a girl who is calling herself 'Robin'; a girl whose hair isn't blond and who doesn't answer to Stephanie Brown. And what she has said about her world, what he has glimpsed of how she speaks- it's different. He has already guessed an alternate universe- or perhaps the future, or a mixture of both. Either is possible.

But what is clear is that she's dangerous. Not in just in what she's capable of, but also what she knows. He doesn't think that she's the type to have a loose tongue, no - even Stephanie knows better than that, as untrained as she was - but she might still let something slip.

She might let who he is slip- and though Batman has none of the usual, top-most reasons to hide his actual identity, he has no desire of letting it slip that he is Bruce Wayne. If only because that identity is going to be very useful here. She might be useful here ( ... )

[ It's the voice. She knows how many years it's missing, she can hear their absence. So even before she's turned around she knows it's the younger version. Less grizzled, less hardened. Nicer.

Not hers, though.

Heya, boss.

[ There's a smile when she turns around. It's a little muted, but she knows this Batman won't know the difference. ]

Guess you don't remember, huh. You want the spiel again?

[ Of course he's seen that previous version of him, and he finds it almost enraging, that he had left such little mark. That he was here and yet didn't manage to stop the Joker and Roman like he should have.

But it at least solves one problem - he no longer needs to explain to her- and at the same time he no longer has an advantage over her when it comes to information. The thought makes him scowl. ]

Not 'again'. I've never heard it; that man wasn't me.

I know what you said to Edgeworth of your world. What did you leave out?

[Is this really him? It seems too good to be true. She's been down by the diamond already today to deal with the other Newcomers and she didn't see anyone in the fabled black cape. But this means that he's here and that she has his name listed somewhere. She'll just need to go back and figure out which one he is.]

Welcome to Siren's Port, Batman.

I didn't think paltry small talk is like you.

I have a job to do, same as you. I'm not limited to the needs and whims of the police. Batman or not, you're still a Newcomer.

[Oh, uh. Oh. Um, sounds just like the rumors. Weren't... she and Carrie talking about-- Wow. This is scary. This is... real?

And... if so, she has a hunch that Joker's going to think the fun has just begun. But still.

Okay, okay. What do you say...]

Um, hi.

[...really?!]

What the Joker did before- do you still have samples remaining?

[OKAY he knows her and he knows about that incident, distressing. Breathe, Raven! She starts to respond, then starts to check the encryption, then laughs at herself because it's Batman--then realizes that Robin would check it anyway, and does so.]

Uh-- of the water? Or of the effects on me? I mean-- I have both, I guess. I mean, uh, there's some of that disgusting green hair--[wait was that unprofessional]--around here. [In fact it keeps turning up, damn it.] And they kept a lot of the water because they had to test if the leak was fixed.

[Oh Azar, is she rambling? She shuts up.]
