Saturday: relaxation/recovery from the night before; movies and dinner.

There’s this reaction in organic chemistry that takes place at low temperatures (around 4 C). If the chemicals get even half way to room temperature (12 C) the reactions mechanism changes and the results are a carboxylic acid instead of an alcohol. So the other day I was in microbio and the professor was lecturing about viruses and what not. She soon mentioned the prophage mechanism. What happens is a virus infects the host cell with its DNA and is incorporated into the host’s genome.
