Bah, I leave today. That kinda sucks majorly. Osaka was great, even though I didn't do anything but hang out in the park with performing artists (the salaryman who came every night to practice his trumpet because his wife would get mad at him for playing in the house was particularly hilarious). I highly recommend capsule hotels. Very comfortable, and a lot more roomy than they look. I also recommend having an otaku show you around Akihabara, especially an otaku as cute as the boy who showed Lauren and I around today ( Read more... ) -

Wow, thank you host families for making me put on eight pounds in two weeks. Eight pounds that will take eight weeks and 112 hours of exercise to remove.

During Golden Week I went to squirrel park, the Okhotsk museum and Abashiri prison museum. My host family and I also went to Sapporo, and the cherry blossoms were out at Hokkaido shrine - very lovely. Hokkaido`s natural environment is extraordinary, especially in the mountainous areas.
