So, Kathy and Eric have thrown in the towel at Insiminator, which is news to everyone including their staff, who learn about it when the new owner, a guy called Walt, posts, explaining the change.

The InSimmers, are naturally interested, and reasonably welcoming, if bewildered. Someone says "Hey Walt, do we know you? Do we like you?"

A part of me can't help but feel a little sorry for the guy. He has no idea what he's gotten into. Kathy and Eric took him for a ride.
Although, he has to be an idiot for not doing his homework first. It wouldn't have taken much to discover the controversy of pay

Not to mention refusing to discuss the financials when it appeared the the community was being taken for a ride while trying to get them to donate! He wouldn't even answer the simplest questions about why with a $2k advertising revenue and a $500 host bill he needs our money. The sheer stupidity of that floored me.

No shit. When people cry foul, the appropriate response is NOT "I'm not telling!!!"

The second I read "my mom supports the site" and "my mom helps financially" I laughed my ass off. Oh how cute! He's got mommy to pay for it!

I don't think the site will last until Sims 3 comes out. I'll be sheer luck or stupid noobness that'll let it last until New Year.

The only reason his mom helps is because she KNOWS what the Depression was like, OK???? This is totally like the Great Depression of the 1930's, Y/Y?

Informed guessing (by Delphy, who was in #grah) says somewhere between 5k and 10k.
