So, Kathy and Eric have thrown in the towel at Insiminator, which is news to everyone including their staff, who learn about it when the new owner, a guy called Walt, posts, explaining the change.

The InSimmers, are naturally interested, and reasonably welcoming, if bewildered. Someone says "Hey Walt, do we know you? Do we like you?"

OH MY GOD. JUST...HOLY FUCK. This is epic. Thank you so much for posting this over here. I haven't been to any of the sites in a while 'cause I've been taking a downloading break. Now I'm going to have to put off cooking Thanksgiving dinner so I can go catch up on this epic WTFery.

Ya know, I used to feel bad about not donating to Insim a little, but now that I see they had a monthly bill of $500 vs. advertising revenue of $2000, plus the $1200 in donation monthly revenue, suddenly that feeling evaporated.

I wonder if they lied to the buyers in the ad, or if they lied to us all those years. I think this might make them WORSE than TSR, that at least was up front about making money.

I used to donate monthly to Insim a couple of years ago, but abruptly stopped when Kathy and Eric pretty much disappeared from the site except to ask for more money. It just didn't sit well with me. (And TwoJeffs' hacks effectively replaced InSim for me, anyway.)
