I'm defending my thesis today! OMG! I've been up since 4:45 this morning and I'm scared for my life! I hope i don't hyperventilate or otherwise freak out... on the bright side Kevin has agreed to call me Master Alexa after I finish :)

Kevin and I are headed to Oregon! I'm super excited about it, I haven't speant much time on the west coast and I'm looking forward to all of the outdoorsy stuff there is to do there :)  anyone have any big moving experience? we dont have a lot of stuff but we do have a couple of big things (bed, bookshelf, kitchen table, etc.). we were thinking ( Read more... )

 Yay! yesterday was the last day of spatial stats! i never have to drive to sarasota again! unless its for fossiling. unfortunately i didnt turn my homework in because i was working on the stupid project for the class and my thesis so sadly i have still have a bit of work to do before i can totally wash my hands of that class.  On the bright side i ( Read more... )

 I turned my thesis in! now i just wait for it to come back bleeding with red ink :( I will probably be defending my thesis may 2nd which means that's when i will be basically done with school! so this is the first time ever that Duke and UNC could potentially meet in the finals of the NCAA tournament. How awesome would that be? This week has felt very weird to me. Last weekend I volunteered all day saturday at the national ocean science bowl competition for high schoolers so i didnt feel like i had a full weekend. then on wednesday we had a student/professor social at school and were kicking back the glasses of wine so it felt like a friday. i didnt have my class on ( Read more... )

 So kevin and I have never celebrated valentine's day, but this year I was hoping our 2 roommates would go out so that we could at least have some alone time together (with 4 people in a small town house no one ever gets alone time). but they are no longer planning on it so poop. oh well, I've got too much to do anyway.  I'm officially done with taking classes forever....or at least till i decide to go back for my phd, unless i decide to take a stats class next semester, which would be really stupid of me but i kind of want to. now its all about microscope work and writing. hopefully i will be done by next summer and able to defend by may and graduate by august ( Read more... )
