Jazz Fest Art

There's always so much to see, hear, eat and absorb at Jazz Fest but we always take time out to check out the art at some point in the day. Roger, Juannie and I were all simply amazed at the work of Nicario Jimenez. He creates retablos using potatoes, plaster of Paris, a long toothpick and paint. We were all oohing and ahing over the floral one, too. It was so dainty and festive. And Jazz Fest is truly one of my favorite things in all the world so I highly recommend it to everyone!

Wow, his work is so reminiscent of mediaeval relief work. I love it!

Does that 280 sticker indicate the price?

Yes $280.00 for the smallest ones. The one in my other two pictures was $2200.00. But I can understand the pricing given the level of detail involved. I just can't afford one. :-(
