I have to agree with you re: Firefly and it being a more mature work. I think, in the end, Firefly would have been Joss' best work, hands down. And I love Buffy and Angel so much, but you're right. Firefly was a fantastic show.

As much as I'm enjoying Buffy, and as much as I think it's funny, I hear the dialogue and think, "Oh, wow, this is totally still Baby Joss." It's so odd--but I think Aaron Sorkin went through the same thing.
(P.S. Caught up on Sunday's Leverage last night, and thought it was HILARIOUS--definitely the funniest episode of the season thus far. Heee!)

You are right. It is more mature than Buffy. (And also Angel. Although I think Angel is more mature than Buffy. The series, of course.)
