Everyone's been making rec lists for MCR fandom, like, all the must-read stories for newbies. Pretty much everything I would rec has already been recced, SO I decided to do something a little different. I LOVE THIS LIST. Also: can I ask what you mean about TCTK almost fitting in the LotR section because of tone? I AM CURIOUS. :D?

I HONESTLY DON'T KNOW. Maybe it's because you were in lotrips and have that background? I'm probably not gonna make much sense with this, so bear with me. (And just as a little preface type thing, I hope it doesn't come across like I'm insulting bandom's bdsm fic, because there's a lot of good stuff out there that I really like. I just sometimes miss/feel nostalgic for the lotrips atmosphere.)

BUT OKAY. In lotrips, it felt like almost every fic I read had some element of power exchange, whether it was explicit or just really subtle or whatever (especially in the Billy/Dom parts of the world), and I guess it was just kind of the attitude of fandom, about it? Like, all these really great, well respected authors wrote it, so it became kind of the norm. And it FEELS LIKE you and R wrote TCTK like it was the norm, even though in this fandom, it's not. I don't really know how to describe it, but you made it like... it was something to be expected, and that you had experience with it (reading/writing/whatever), and you just did it right, ( ... )

Thank you so much for elaborating, bb! I was so curious. And I can admit I'm always sort of curious about reactions to that not!fic because I have such a strangle little place in my heart for it. I was super anxious to post it originally because I wasn't sure how it would go over, I guess? I mean, R and I loved the HELL out of emailing it back and forth but I wasn't sure if it would be something other people would enjoy, or if we hadn't hit the tone we were going for, or something. So hearing that people really enjoyed it or had really positive reactions to it makes me really happy. <3 :)

I have no experience with lotrips at all, but this made sense anyway! And srsly, thank you so much bb! Like B said, we weren't really sure how TCTK would go over, but WE loved it and it's been amazing to get this kind of positive feedback on it, even over a year later. So thank you bb.. ♥

THIS LIST *___*. SO AWESOME. Thank you for making it :D Especially the MCR section and the and the Adam one :D Most of the bandom kink fics I've read were in Panic (I also made a rec post of my favorite long bdsm fics here), but I have not read many in MCR so this is a very blesses post indeed :D Thank you!

RIGHT? Me too. I tried to write straight-up fluff a while back, and it totally slid into a sweet relationshippy D/s fic instead. lol.

LOL And me, NEW FANDOM, NEW BOYS, NEW EVERYTHING, FIRST FIC IN NEARLY 2 YEARS.... and I turn it into D/s with my first spanking scene. (how have I of all people never written spanking before??)
