First off, I would just like to get it out there that my girl-crush on Helena Bonham Carter kind of exploded tonight. (Along with my bladder after the usual application of an extra-large diet Coke in the previews.) I am a little bit in love with her. I definitely got the whole 'omg 1984 reference' thing too. And I'm glad HBC ended up being Bellatrix (have been pronouncing it wrong, sadly) but think the last name should be said 'Lestrawnge' still.

Midnight showing = the best.

I've been saying it right.

Definitely didn't go to the midnight showing, but only because I was working that night and didn't get out until midnight.

Helena Bonham Carter is god.

Definitely went with Popkin and his cousin and sister and a random girl named Andrea.

Sat in the 3rd row with my Hufflepuff scarf feeling extra cool.

Well, I went alone. You cannot beat that when discussing the factor of cool (or lack thereof). Sadly, I did not have a scarf, but if I had, I'm positive that I would have died of heat exhaustion.

I come bearing bad news. Walden Media, the makers of the Dark is Rising movie, have essentially declared war on the fans of the book. The screenwriter is quoted as saying " I think some of that sort of, the pre-Christian element or the Arthurian stuff isn't really in the script." They've cut the heart and soul out of the story and replaced it with a lot of pointless violence. I could cry.

2) I am now insanely jealous of you. First you go off an get bangs on me, then you go see the new HP movie before i do. *sighs*

3) Is there any way, any teeny tiny chance, of working the movie into the weekend of amazingness? Because I really do want to watch it with someone who appreciates Lucius..

3) I would love too. We should rearrange time for a few days to fit everything in. Or just not sleep... I'm okay with no sleep.

I can do the no sleep thing...it may cause a bit of a problem when I'm trying to drive you to the airport, but nothing a few cups of coffee can't solve...
