That may just be the most haircut-shaped haircut I have ever seen on you.
Oh, we can meet in London, too, you know. I'm not averse to that city, not on the whole. (But Paris, too. Actually I think this arrangement may be ideal in that it provides each of us with an excuse to visit the country they didn't choose.)
Also, I am intensely curious about what, precisely, Physics for Poets entails.
They might well be! From whenabouts will you be around, approximately? Depending on the extent and manner to/in which All Goes Well I hope to be spending the better part of my summer in at least one of these cities anyway (of course, in my ideal world I'd be able to hop over to Paris for any old weekend and spend the entirety of my winter break in London, but dreams have a knack, etc.). I could Show You Around. (The fact that my knowledge of London geography could be roughly described as 'the Strand and a 1,5 mile radius from both of its ends' and that of Paris geography as 'between the Pont Royal and the Pont Sully, both sides, give and take some literary locations' is very much irrelevant to this offer.) (As I am spell-checking this, "Do the Strand" comes up on my Last.fm. Needless to say I take this as a good omen.)
Autumn semester is approx. 18 September to 16 December (and I'm not certain there are any long weekends included there, so I'm not sure when I might be able to go to Paris; but the move-out date is 3 January, so it's possible I would be able to stay an extra few days after term and see Paris in December). So not an extraordinarily long amount of time! Oh, how I wish I were going in the spring -- practically all of April is off for Easter break. But autumn will just be easier, so autumn it is.
PHYSICS FOR POETS IS BRILLIANT. The professor is this elderly Korean man who is absolutely adorable and talked the whole time about how physics relates to philosophy and says things like, "In here I will teach you some physics. You have the rest of your life to discover what I like to call your place in the universe" and asked me if I were Italian when I told him I was interested in learning about neutrinos. Also, the title of the last lecture, according to the syllabus, is "Whence arise all that order and beauty we see in the world?" SO LOVELY
Yes, I don't own a pair, and I found about six different kinds at Urban Outfitters, but none of them exactly suited my needs. Someday I will find the shoes of my dreams!

SPLENDID. Perhaps two meetings are in order?
I am not yet entirely sure. I will update you later this afternoon once I've been to a class.
