Ridiculously cold weather aside, it's good to be back at Mac. I've spent more time in the past two days on public transportation than I have probably spent in the past three months, but oh, I love these cities. Samilee and I shopped in Uptown yesterday, but I was unable to find anything I wanted (a cigarette case, a bag, a scarf, a pair of oxfords), so instead I bought a fedora and a peacoat. Maybe I have priorities? Ha. In any case, I made a lot of difficult decisions my last few days at home, but I've resolved to forget about my WGSS and French minors and concentrate on English; this entailed dropping Sociology of Gender and deciding to study in London rather than Paris (I'm very sorry,
lucieandco -- I feel a dreadful hypocrite for convincing you to go to France based on my own emotions when I am apparently not going to do the same -- but we can, obviously, still meet in Paris). SO I am now taking Contemporary Concepts, AKA Con-Con, AKA "Physics for Poets", AKA ... the physics class that doesn't require any math. I'm rather intrigued.
ANYWAY, I really need to be finishing my take-home final for Feminist/Queer Theory (i.e. what I have been pretending to do for the past two weeks and now am actually doing, several hours before the deadline) so I should not be spending this much time on LJ. BUT I am happy, really, and that's all that's important right now.
