And that right there is why, lifelong sleeping problems aside, I've never touched a sleeping pill, and probably never will. They frighten me. Even under the influence of Nyquil (which is a rarity - I've gotta be *really* sick) I drop into a coma sleep punctuated by the occasional outburst of jibberish. Sometimes I sing little songs. Ambien would likely cause me to leap rooftop to rooftop, fighting crime in my sleep (and my underwear).
