This article shows some pictures from just across the river, and downriver near where Fancy lives. We are expecting another 40-60 mm before Sunday. I'm not sure exactly how much that is, but we get rainfall warnings for 15-20 mm, and the ground ( Read more... )

Sadly, it rained almost every day in April too, so we don't have that excuse. I just heard on the radio that we got more rain yesterday than we did all last May, and the water is now at 100 year levels, and still rising.

walking my dog sucks. I can't bring him to the park aka the mud-pit to play. He doesn't mind the damp as much as I do.

Raining and raining in near-Biblical proportions here in the Midwestern U.S. too.

Do you have to relocate Fancy?

It's crazy. I have heard that it is also causing real damage out in BC, too.

Fancy should be fine. The lower pasture may get quite soaked as it's near the little creek, but her shelter is on higher ground, and there is lots of room to move around. Basically, it's the only area they use all winter.

And I've heard from friends in Toronto that there's some kind of flooding issues there too. It's crazy, alright.
