It has been a rough, rainy April, with no sign of improvement for May. I'm really glad I live on a hill. This article shows some pictures from just across the river, and downriver near where Fancy lives. We are expecting another 40-60 mm before Sunday. I'm not sure exactly how much that is, but we get rainfall warnings for 15-20 mm, and the ground is saturated already, so it can't be good.

It's bad near Montreal, too, and could get much worse if New York State releases extra water to lower the levels in Lake Ontario:
