I do not think I really have anything good to day about this, Paige. I would certainly never say a bad word against your family, but I will give my vague, no-fingers-pointing opinion. I think family should stand by family unless they are being used, and you are not using them. Your family wanted you out there and now you are there and they should be nothing but happy about it. They knew that it would take a while before you started making money again, and I feel like that should have been part of the deal. Treating someone as a burden when that person is genuinely trying only is selfish on the other person's part. Some day that other person may need help, and feel sorry that they dismissed that friend or family member when that person was the one in need
