Health and work!?!?!?! Hon you need to do something about this situation, first of all you are not too old for anything!! Whoever said that is crazy. You can reinvent yourself as many times as you want and come out of it all a better person each time, trust me I've done it.
Work... frankly you are right the numbers are scary, so why not reinvent yourself and look for a new job?
