According to reports, the Toronto Maple Leafs have signed forward Anson Carter to a two-year deal, no financial terms disclosed. This has yet to be reported by Sportsnet or TSN, so this might be a bit of a smokescreen.

Just thought I'd share with y'all.

Day one of unemployment. So far, I've showered, played with Gabe, played Guitar Hero while Gabe danced, and got the message that both of the building's elevators are out of service. One's being repaired, the other rebuilt.

I read many DL books after that, some good, a few great, most of 'em forgettable. Okay, kids... the Leafs have traded goaltending prospect Tuuka Rask (1st round pick, 2005) to the Boston Bruins for former Calder Trophy winner Andrew Raycroft.

Rask was unsigned, and the Leafs still have Justin Pogge, who was stellar for Canada at the world junior championships, in the system.
