There were quite a few things one missed whilst living in a hole in the floor of an underground base. Fresh air, for one. Despite Ianto's best effort, not even he could completely rid the Hub of the musty smell that a century of dripping water had created. Dry floors was another.

It's hard enough teaching a sober person to waltz, I know, I've done it. Teaching drunken Owen... Even though Ianto didn't succeed I think he deserves an award for trying. Maybe a new cute suit.

As for Jack with his floppy hair getting a floppiness reduction, and having his coat amputated for the night... *pets Jack* There there, you'll still have Ianto to dance with.
