Boys In Love - Epilogue - Part 3

Jake had been slow and gentle with him that night, loving every inch of him, doing everything he could to make sure Heath didn’t have a thought in his head that didn’t revolve around him and the pleasure he was giving him. Jake had learned a thing or two about patience during the years they’d been together and it had paid off that night...... When ( Read more... )

BIL Epilogue cwby30 January 28 2008, 20:21:54 UTC
Mornin', S.

Well, I'm not a fan of RPS, but do read some of it where the guys aren't really the guys, if you know what I mean [e.g., 'Boys of Blue Ridge', 'Trigger']. I did read some of your BIL, and I do like this Epilogue. They are the guys, but they aren't, their lives changed years before and they went on a different path, and have continued on in this RPS AU universe. Liked it, all the way through, especially the references to other AU!AU scenarios [soap opera, for one], and the need like any other two-jobs couple to find the middle ground and carve out time for each other regularly.

Thanks again.

That was just wonderful. If only real life were this sweet and perfect...Thank you, Jane. Some parts of this were a little hard to read, but I'm glad I read it all. :)

If only.....

What a sweet thing that would have been.

It's weird because last night I went back to start reading Boys in Love and Boys of Blue Ridge again. Thank you for this.

I am looking forward to more BBM too as well as AKL.

Thank you so much for posting this. It was hard to read at first, and hard to read at the end as you find yourself wishing for what might have been, but it was beautiful. I always believe that all our versions of Ennis and Jack--and yes, Heath and Jake too--are out there somewhere being happy together. Somewhere, in another dimension, things have turned out very differently, and you've given us a window into that other life ( ... )

Incredible writing, Jane. The story flowed beautifully, plausible in its angst...and in its forever love. I didn't think that you could make me smile, but their conversation at the end, about starting a family together, did the trick. I loved your side comment about the Oscars as well. I often have the "fuck" word on my lips when I think of that night too. It is has always been obvious how much you love our boys, but there is no doubt that you have taken extra special care with them throughout this journey.

You have written a respectful, dignified and tender piece. If only it could have been this way. Thanks so much for sharing your gifts, and your heart... helping us through this dark night together. With great admiration and love, Debra.
