I find it interesting that there are so few trick-or-treaters around my house now-a-days.  I remember going trick-or-treating when I was little and the place was packed.  But, now I can hardly get rid of the candy I buy.  It seems like a lot of people are taking their kids to trick-or-treating events at malls, or campgrounds, or things like that.  ( Read more... )

My favorite dogs are golden retrievers.  I like how they are so easy to train, and I love how friendly they are.  I am also the type of person who likes big dogs better then little dogs, so a golden retriever’s size is definitely a plus for me.  And then there is that beautiful longhaired golden coat of theirs.  It’s so elegant.  My family has had ( Read more... )

My favorite magazine of all time is National Geographic.  It’s the only magazine that I read cover to cover.  I just love how it covers a huge variety of material in each magazine, and still manages to produce articles that have such depth.  I usually read them on the train and buses going back and forth from school, but when I come home I prefer ( Read more... )

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.  I mean costumes + candy = simply equals fun.  However, I also find the Mexican Dia de los Muertos very interesting.  I like the all the decorations of skeletons dancing, playing instruments, and having fun.  It’s such a wonderful combination of death and frivolity.

I went to the Pompeii exhibit that the Boston Science Museum the other day.  I always enjoy the special exhibits at they have there, especially the Lord of the Rings and the Star Wars exhibits they had.  Although I really enjoyed the exhibit I was surprised at some of the things they had on display.  Like a fresco of two men and a woman having a ( Read more... )
