Did I ever mention my love of the Civil War? XD

This was so beautiful and lovely and perfect! ^.^

"He was giving me everything I wanted, but it wasn't enough. It wasn't you. He was you, but not in the same way. You're all of that, he was just one small part of you."

^ That line. Amazing. Just...wow. Great job! =D

I was on a major kick about the Civil War in June. For some reason scenarios were just stuck in my head. And I'll admit I kind of have fun writing the alternate identity of Confederacy. I took a history class on the Old South and I find the culture very interesting.

I'm really glad you enjoyed the story, I love writing this kind of thing. I think my favorite stories that I've ever written have been Civil War ones, this being one of them. :)

I love learning about the Old South. My step-father is this huge Confederate-history buff, so he would drag us to Civil War events, such as conventions and whatnot, and he's always dumped a load of books on me about the Confederacy and the Old South, which probably sparked my interest in the Civil War. XD

Historical stories, especially Civil War stories, are always fun to write! :D

Agreed that historical stories are fun to write! :3

I wasn't sure how I felt about the class, I took it because my father's family is from Kentucky (and the family had been there since before the Revolution), but I found it really interesting. Pre-Civil War culture in the South was really interesting. :D

I commented before with really sad songs XD I love these, you are probably the only author on LJ that I actually comment on but I do so love the civil war and how you parallel what was going on in the US with what was happening in England :)

I remember you! I'm flattered that I'm one of the only authors you comment on. :)

I am trying to find the time to read a book on British involvement in the American Civil War. It's a really interesting topic and I'm intrigued. xD

I'm glad you enjoyed the story. :)

I'm reading one right now that's pretty good it isn't about British involvement per se but it has a lot of background on it. It's about the CSS Shenandoah but it goes into great detail about how screwy the British neutrality was especially concerning the commerce raiders (CSS Alabama, CSS Florida, etc.).
(Sorry, I love naval history XD).

British "neutrality" xD

I sometimes like reading about naval battles, I was doing research on some of the naval battles of the War of 1812 when I was researching a fic that is sort of written, but not... (I didn't like how I spun it so I'm slowly, slowly rewriting it xD)

I'm glad you enjoyed it. America being genuinely angry is interesting to write. He should probably lay off the drinking though when he's going to go 'confront' England. xD

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

I didn't have anymore one-shots in this vein planned, but now that you've asked I've had a brain wave which should be interesting. I don't know when I'll get around to writing it, but it'll probably show up eventually. :D

This is just so.. so nice in a way that I can't describe. All I just wanted to ask if you can make a sequel for this. I-If you can, that is. This fiction is too good!

Thank you for the compliment! I think this one is going in my favorite fics that I've written list, I reread it every time someone comments and I still love it. :)

I really enjoy writing historical fics so you'll probably see more... I think I have a pretty solid head-canon for them now (I've played with different ones in different fics, but I really like this one) so you might see something related to this again. I have an idea for a "sequel" but it might be some time before I get a chance to write it. :)
