Достичь совершенства в пошлости сложно: для этого нужен недюжинный талант. Пакостных картин, разумеется, миллионы, но такое искусство недолговечно. Чтобы потомки бережно хранили шедевр в столичных музеях, нужно нечто, переворачивающее внутренности. К чести 19-го века, он смог произвести одно такое полотно: "Пробуждающаяся совесть" кисти Вильяма Холмана Ханта
Тут гармонирует все: и задумка, и композиция, и цвет, и мельчайшие детали:
