30 Days of TV: Day 8
Day 08 - A show everyone should watch
Sherlock
Simply put, this show is fantastic. It's smart, fun, exciting, and the two leads have a great chemistry (which is essential to the Holmes & Watson dynamic), not to mention slashy subtext ;P I still haven't gotten around to reading the original stories yet (I've only seen the recent movie, which was also awesome), but I think they did an excellent job of adapting the premise & characters for modern times. There are only three episodes in the first series/season, but they're 90 min. each, so it's like getting three movies instead (which is great, since it gives the writers more time to tell a story and develop the characters). It is addictive and wonderful and, honestly, I just can't say enough good things about it-- the only negative comment I have is that we have to wait about a year for more!
