Your manifesto details every moment between these two and makes me want to re-watch the episodes you have mentioned. :)
"Chuck Versus the Alma Mater" is no doubt one of my favorite. Not simply because there are so many memories of Chuck and Bryce in it, but also because it is beautifully sad. They are the happiest back in college, but now they both have responsibilities and obligations to worry about. I wish the show could give us some more Bryce/Chuck in the future (possibly as in flashback), and I should take a look at the fics.
Thanks for writing this. You give me reasons to love them more.
Such a beautiful and tragic pair... If only they can work as a team, it will be the awesomest awesomeness!;D

just the other day i whined, "why can't sarah and casey get sent on a mission and bryce takes on chuck as his spy partner???? and then chuck can be all about the adventures of bryce and chuck: super spy partners!!"
:P
but seriously. i would watch that show. how epic would that be.

Your outtakes about "re-interpreting canon" make so much sense to me; the first time I watched it, I couldn't help but notice that ambiguity, the way outwardly, Bryce was going after Sarah, but it was all a means to an end, all about how reminding her how she felt about him, and in the end, none of it was as important as Chuck. Bryce just wears his emotions on his sleeve, at least towards Chuck, and I've always thought his feelings towards Chuck were really obvious. He clearly cares about him more than anyone.
And I have to admit that part of what draws me to the pairing is how bittersweet it is, how tragic, how it's all about what could have been, all about those lost years and betrayals and sacrifices. I was surprised when I first discovered the demographics of the fandom, ( ... )
