As much as I love Ron/Hermione, I've always liked the idea of Ron/Luna to. It would be cute. Never read any fanfiction, cause it's usually a side ship to Harry/Hermione, and I just... I can't read it, not as a main ship atleast.
Anyway... I think this was really well written. I especially liked the moments you picked out, they show the progress of their friendship so far. :)

Yeah, that can be hard. I have no fondess for Ron/Hermione, but really, really like Harry/Ginny.

I'm glad you liked it.

Wow... it must be very hard finding H/G fics without R/Hr... I love both, so it's no problem for me, but I can't remember reading many fics that don't have both... and those I can remember were R/hr and Harry/Luna...

I usually have to stick with oneshots. And I like Harry/Luna, too.

I'm a Harry/Luna shipper at heart, but this was certainly convincing I have to say. A very in-depth look on how the couple would work.

Yes, I do like Harry/Luna as well. I'm glad that I could give you an idea of how Luna/Ron could work.

Lovely essay (with a few typos, you are missing a word near the end of the quote for the Unbreakable Vow)

I think that you make some very good points about their compatibility and, like you, I began to ship them as a side to H/Hr, but have come to appreciate them for themselves.

I see as being able to love him for who he is, apart from Harry, which is something that certainly came out in your quotes. Also, I think that she would push him to improve, but not in the conflict-driven way that he interacts with Hermione.

Ron can easily become the unappreciated one as Harry has power and Hermione and brains, sometimes people *coughWBcough* just leave him with humor.

You made some good points, I like what you added on about the balancing each other out.

I do think that Luna's oddness is partly becuase she wanted to push people away. Which is one of the reasons I love her with Ron so much, Ron is protective and loyal. And his sweetest moments are with Luna.

I love Ron/Luna, and even though I ship R/Hr as well, I was rather disappointed there was no Ron/Luna in HBP. I just adore every single scene they have together.

Yeah for multi-shippers!

There were a few Luna/Ron moments, but not enough. There wasn't enough Luna or Neville in. I really missed them.
