Kaleidoscope news -- Two revisions and a teaser

Aug 17, 2013 15:10

I actually finished posting the revised chapters of the first part of Kaleidoscope at FF.N a couple of weeks ago, but what with Pottermore and Fire and Hemlock and the R/T drabble/drawble meme, I hadn't managed to get the revisions archived here on LJ as well. They're posted now, backdated to keep them near the rest of the chapters (and to avoid ( Read more... )

When I first read Blindsided a while back, it was the very first time I made the discovery that fanfic can be great:D
And it's still fantastic.

Your teaser certainly has me looking forward to the rest!

Awww! Thank you!

I imagined that final scene in Blindsided before I had even discovered there was such a thing as fanfiction. ;) It was like a little movie in my head that appeared after I read HBP and fell in love with the idea of R/T.

*scurries off to work on the first HBP chapter again*

I had a brain break from looking at maps of the north of Scotland - why can't people be more specific and helpful in bios? ;) - to have a reading treat. I have fond memories of Catching Hold, because I feel as if I know Remus's Devon 'sanctuary', and Blindsided was a firm favourite from before as it's a classic example of building up to some glorious R/T happiness followed by the almost inevitable oh nooooooooo! moment. The edits and expansions have given it more of emotional punch, especially how Remus ties himself and Tonks up in impossible knots, by trying to retain a platonic friendship that no longer exists. Yes, that's going to go really well! :D

That sounds intriguing! Is this for a writing project?

Ah, that would be because (speaking of looking at maps!) I have you to thank for figuring out where Remus's little hidden cove should be in the first place. (*scurries off to add that to author's note on FFN*)

The edits and expansions have given it more of emotional punch,

I'm really glad you think so. :)

Yes, that's going to go really well! *snort* I'm already suffering the consequences as I try to write their very next conversation, and it's turning out to be very tricky. But that's obviously all Remus's fault, so I'll just blame him ( ... )
