i like this a lot. um, seriously, i can't find the words to describe how much i love this? but this is absolutely perfect. the length is perfect, the way you develop this story and the way lay comes into luhan/xiumin's relationship but it's not enough. i love your lay, god, and it's sort of heartbreaking (esp. since i ship layhan way too hard lol ;;) but i love how he comes to terms with it. i love everyone you've written in here actually, luhan (and his niceness because he does care for lay so much!! :() and xiumin and the baekhyun/lay friendship (one of my favourite parts ugh i adore the way you've written their dynamic and how baekhyun is always there for lay) and um there are way too many things i love about this fic? the development, the sehun/luhan, the way xiumin comes into their lives and changes everything, luhan's confession about xiumin being "the one"... yeah i pretty much love everything about this fic. even if it is heartbreaking :( this is a lovely, lovely fic and it's definitely among my favourites in this fandom, ngl

I'm so glad you liked this, especially given how long it is and how it's not exactly a happy story.

I adore layhan so so much and they just lend themselves to a complex unrequited relationship like this really well, as much as it pains me to torture them...but I also have such a weakness for xiuhan haha ^^'

This was really really beautiful. Heartbreaking, but beautiful. I want to hate Minseok because he's in the way, but he really isn't doing anything wrong and I want to hate Luhan for being stupid and not returning Yixing's feelings, but you can't force love. No one is to blame in this fic and that's probably what makes it so hard to get through. By the end of the story, I really just wanted to push Luhan out of the picture completely (and I love Luhan) because he was tearing Yixing apart.

I really loved this. The entire piece was so bittersweet and I liked that. Thank you for writing. <3

It makes me happy to hear you say that, because when I was writing I considered whether people might hate minseok or luhan for what they're doing to yixing (regardless of if it's malicious or not). It's not an easy fic to get thorouh especially because of all the yixing pain and I'm glad you liked it anyway!
