Clockwork Maze

Characters: Satoshi, Daisuke, Donna, Oliver, Benny, Riku, Isaac, Box, Ai, Cally and those who venture in to deliver friendship speeches/whacks to the head!
Location: Near the Plane's mansion in a completely empty area--UNTIL something suddenly appears!
Time: After the watch has completed its collection of hearts and has found a permanent host.

[Someone feel like dealing with a pissy Venus Adept with a REALLY BIG SWORD?]

[Oblivious to any bad temper and having no clue to who this person is, Bob, apparently blithely walks up.] Fine weapon you have there. [Because that's why you're showing it off.]

[Growly] You think so huh? Back off, or you'll see a bit more than you might want to.

[Doesn't notice.] That's all right, son. May I ask where you got it?

[darkercalling]

[Here is Riku, feeling right at home amongst all of this clockwork and machinery. His sword is drawn, and he is pissed. Determined. Driven.

Anyone want to take him on, or try to slap some friendship into him?]

[naturally, he feels right at home amongst clocks--what Time Lord wouldn't?--but ohhh, is he wary all the same. he's no stranger to traps, and walks into them willingly, but he wonders who could be the final host and what these traps might be like. so when he comes across Riku, sword all drawn, he can't help but just raise his eyebrows in mild surprise]

Ohh, now isn't this a surprise? I'd almost ask whether that sword's for me, but well, I think that answer is a bit obvious, isn't it?

[darkercalling]

[The second the Doctor begins speaking, Riku snaps into a fighting stance, blade pointed at him.]

That depends on whether or not you're going to stay in my way.

[he shrugs, raising an arm slowly to scratch his chin] Well, seems to me that I came upon you and you didn't quite seem like you were going anywhere, so if anything, you are in my way.

[And here is Cally! Standing coldly in the middle of her section with a sneer on her face, clockwork folk around her and hands behind her back.]

[Dirty fighting? Yes, sir or ma'am.]

[A bearded Jamie approaches cautiously, carrying a bag of recently-gathered supplies. The maze suddenly appearing would have been enough to draw his attention on a regular day, but given what's been happening, a bit of creeping along to see what's going on is definitely in order. Dodging the traps is tricky, but he manages to get through...only to come across Cally and her clockwork folk. Being unaware of her specific involvement with the watch, he looks at her in a bit of confusion.]

Hey, what are ye doing here?

[She coldly tilts her head at him and smirks, gesturing behind her shortly... Which, of course, means that the clockwork folk shuffle along behind her. What fun; better than a nice fortnight on a beach, ey?]

[...I mean, you don't get coldly smirking vaguely evil necromancers on a beach, right?]

Why do vermin insist upon accosting me?

[Only once in awhile, when they're on vacation, possibly.]

Vermin? Hey!

[Jamie seems vaguely hurt by the implication, even if he is a bit scruffier looking then normal. It's not his fault he hasn't had a chance to shave yet. He's been a little busy.]

I've not done anything of the sort.

Box's area

Box is standing still, with a calm expression on his face. Almost deadly calm. It's a rare sight actually. Might be because he finally has a goal, something he must succeed in no matter what. It gives him courage and determination.

Bit further ahead of him two clockwork warriors are waiting for intruders too. They aren't big, around a taller human's height.

The moment the warriors and Box come in to view, the Doctor's eyes went wide--but not completely because of Box. He thought the clockwork warriors were beautiful, but oh so deadly just from the looks of them.

"Box," he said quietly and oh so calmly, "you need to get away from them. Back up slowly and I'll keep their attention on me while you get away."

Box glanced up at the voices, and turned his head toward the 'intruders'. His expression changed into a grimace of disgusts at both of them.

"Get away?" he asked in a low voice with a hint of trembling, and put his hands in his hoodie's pockets, ever so calmly. "As I see it, you two should be the ones to get away." Box's eyes were mostly on Morgana though.

As the words left his lips both of the warriors changed their stances to attack with a loud metallic sound, but they were waiting for the first to move.

[Oliver is standing in the middle of one of the passages, blocking the way as well as he can. he has a sneer on his face and a knife in his hand, looking ready for a fight. but if a regular (albeit angry) human isn't enough for you, there is also a clockwork soldier standing behind him, wielding a sword and looking on ominously with a clock-face]

[a bit tired by now, the Doctor can't help groaning when he sees Oliver with a knife, not to mention the sword-wielding clockwork soldier]

Blimey, it just isn't my day, is it?

Doctor! [grins] I knew you'd be coming.

But unfortunately for you, this is as far as you go.

Well, you know me. Some would say I'm too predictable, but really, I just can't resist a good maze when I see one. Or is it a labyrinth? [brief pause, then he shrugs] Well, it doesn't matter.

But it's funny you mention me not going any further because you are very, very wrong about that assessment.
