Clockwork Maze

Location: Near the Plane's mansion in a completely empty area--UNTIL something suddenly appears!
Time: After the watch has completed its collection of hearts and has found a permanent host.

[Here is Riku, feeling right at home amongst all of this clockwork and machinery. His sword is drawn, and he is pissed. Determined. Driven.

Anyone want to take him on, or try to slap some friendship into him?]

[naturally, he feels right at home amongst clocks--what Time Lord wouldn't?--but ohhh, is he wary all the same. he's no stranger to traps, and walks into them willingly, but he wonders who could be the final host and what these traps might be like. so when he comes across Riku, sword all drawn, he can't help but just raise his eyebrows in mild surprise]

Ohh, now isn't this a surprise? I'd almost ask whether that sword's for me, but well, I think that answer is a bit obvious, isn't it?

[darkercalling]

[The second the Doctor begins speaking, Riku snaps into a fighting stance, blade pointed at him.]

That depends on whether or not you're going to stay in my way.

[bit_impossible]

[he shrugs, raising an arm slowly to scratch his chin] Well, seems to me that I came upon you and you didn't quite seem like you were going anywhere, so if anything, you are in my way.

[darkercalling]

[His eyes narrow.]

Did you come here for a reason, or are you just going to keep talking?

To be perfectly honest, I came to find that watch that seems to have taken bits of people's hearts--and I'm betting you were in possession of it at one point.

[darkercalling]

And what do you plan to do about it?

[bit_impossible]

[in a nice, calm steady voice] Help you. That's all.

[darkercalling]

I don't need anyone's help!

[bit_impossible]

Everybody needs a little help now and then--and that time for you is right now. [starts advancing on him, very aware of the sword in Riku's hand]

[darkercalling]

[Riku takes the advancement as a threat and steps forward as well, aiming a swing of his sword at the Doctor's chest.]

[bit_impossible]

[and he jumps back narrowly missing getting cut] Whoa! Usually, people have the exact opposite reaction to someone wanting to help them! You know, like dropping your sword and sorting this mess out over a cup of tea? Or maybe even a pint, well, once you were older anyway, though it is difficult to tell with your hair...

[darkercalling]

[With a sneer:] I definitely a lot younger than you.

[He doesn't take another swing, but his stance suggests that if the Doctor so much as makes one false move, the next strike will be quicker, and much less of a warning.]

[bit_impossible]

[mutters under his breath] Blimey, so much for respecting one's elders.

All right, a pint's out. But we can talk about this, all right? [he slowly steps forward again, arms out wide to show he means no harm]

[darkercalling]

[Riku is completely incapable of trust right now, and it shows when he strikes again, blade moving downward this time, right over the Doctor's shoulder.]

((OoC: Hey look, I'm not drugged-up and sleeping anymore! ::shot:: ))

[bit_impossible]

[this time he's ready for such a thing, and sidesteps the manoeuvre before he immediately moves in close to cut off Riku's range.] You really don't want to do this. [as he says that, he reaches for Riku's sword arm]
