Have sourced the blocked pages problem to cookie "protection" in my antivirus program (CA antivirus). Disable it and bingo! Was looking everywhere else but there - should have thought of the bleeding obvious, but never have been good with details. Wish I'd thought of that before I did a system restore, though. Recent absence of communication due to difficulty getting beyond this page in LJ. Wonder if anyone else out there has this problem. I have a new PC running Windows 7 Home Premium, I have a reputable antivirus program running.
Every browser I've used (IE9 both 32 and 64 bit, Google Chrome and Firefox 4) gives me an error message similar to the FF one ( Read more... )

Am posting here 'cos this seems to be the only way I can communicate electronically with the outside world at present.
