AHHHHHHHHHH!

This momentary freak-out was brought to you by stress and the end of my last semester of grad school.

My latest entries have been pretty...well, doom and gloom.  I mean, my life is pretty un-rad right now, but it's not all awful.  Here's a list of good-ish (or at least not absolutely terrible things) that are going on right now:

I just shelled out 650 bucks for an LCD projector for my classroom.  Eep!  The good news is that I'll get to use it this whole year and then hopefully be able to sell it to another teacher in June for a few hundred bucks.  I also think I am going to write it off on my taxes as 'work expenses'.  I am, however, excited at the prospect of watching ( Read more... )

I got into Florida State!

I got into grad skool!

And I am finally on top of that mountain of grading I was working on.  Woohoo!  It only took me working for an hour or so everyday for the past 4 days.  Yes, yes, this is the life of a teacher.  I wake up  at 7am Saturday mornings, jump out of bed and grade papers while watching the Today show ( Read more... )

I went to see Avenue Q on Wednesday night with Corwin.  It was awesome.  I really enjoyed myself.  I haven't been to the theatre in so long, which is pretty sad.  The tickets were pretty expensive, but I think it was worth it.  We got horribly lost in downtown Norfolk, but managed to park in the MacArthur Center parking deck and then walk the two ( Read more... )

I ordered a ton of chinese food the other day when we were having that monsoon of a storm outside. There's always one big problem with chinese food and that is that they always give you enough rice to feed all of Ethiopia for a week.
