My latest entries have been pretty...well, doom and gloom. I mean, my life is pretty un-rad right now, but it's not all awful. Here's a list of good-ish (or at least not absolutely terrible things) that are going on right now:
- I got my federal taxes done. Looks like I should be getting around $2,500 back from Uncle Sam. I still need to work on my state taxes, but for the hundred or so bucks that I'll get back from those, well, they can wait. Oh, and one more thing--Wisconsin does not accept e-filing (WTF, Wisconsin? Why are you so lame?!)
- I am getting added to the graduation list for Spring! I just have to send in a form that says "hey, I live under a rock and missed the deadline. I can haz grajimatation plz? LuvThx!"
- I have impressive arm muscles. I've been going to the gym regularly, which does wonders for stress and general feelings of 'suck-itude'. I do spin class on Mondays and then alternate cardio and weights days. I really like spin, the cardio (always done to the tunes of Lady Gaga. Best gym music EVER!), and doing an arm weights routine. The leg weights, I hate them with a passion. Squats are the DEVIL! But I'm trying to find ways to make it enjoyable, which means I just suffer through it.
- I went to Madison on Sunday (just to visit some civilization for a change) and got a new camera bag (hooray Best Buy!). I also got to eat at Red Lobster and do some shopping at Trader Joe's. I got LAMB! Soooo excited to make some yummy lamb in the next few days. I have been craving Donner kebab like a fiend. This will be rectified!
- I also caught the last few minutes of a travel show on Bavaria this morning. It made my day. I miss the alps and (even in my destitute state) am thinking of taking another trip there post-graduation. I need some Gemutlichkeit STAT!
- Started reading 'The Guersney Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society', an interesting book. I like that it's written in the style of actual mailed letters. It almost makes me want to hand-write people, to resurrect a dying art...maybe one day when I'm out of things to do.
