I'm getting tired of the hysteria surrounding the new chain mail letter that says we have until January 1, 2005 to register our numbers or forever hold our piece (peace?) on telemarketing calls made to cell phones. I am nearly to page 700 of my 848 page book The Crimson Petal and the White. I could have been finished by now but I am firm in my decision to put the book down at 11:00. So I voted today, my absentee ballot hadn't come in the mail yet, so I figured I needed to just suck it up and get in line. A few people have stated that Amendment 4 on the Florida ballot will "legalize gambling" and turn south Florida into the next Las Vegas.
