I love this. Wow.

When John goes up to Evan in the mess and traces on the table with his finger, yeah, I can totally see that. And you show Evan's fear and worry so well, and John fighting to get him back - it's really, really good.

I really enjoyed this. I love how you showed Evan's want and his hesitation.
John was so adorably charming. You really made it seems like it could be an easy fit if Evan gets over his nerves and I am willing to bet John will be there to help.

They seem like they will last forever here.

This was lovely. At the beginning I wasn't sure about Sheppard's desires but obviously, he really wanted Evan. So sweet. Thanks for sharing.

Ah jeez, that was bittersweet in a Romeo-&-Juliet sorta way. It's so sad, because they are really good together; but Evan's right. John is crazy reckless. He'll be crafty & brave & protect Evan... until the one time when he can't. And Evan knows that, deep deep down; they both know they're likely to be outed, exiled from Atlantis or, at the very least, assigned to duties a galaxy apart.

Both fortunately & tragically, John's crazy does 'rub off' on Evan--which I guess makes them both brave too. It's a sweet & serious little fic that makes me think a lot about what DADT would really mean to them (not to mention fraternization & authority issues, but I'll collude in hand-waving those ;-). Thanks for writing & sharing this!
