Oh God. Lestrade and John, you brilliant men. If I grinned any harder, my face would break. This is so, so clever and so, so funny, and I love the two of them plotting behind Sherlock's back like this. (Even funnier when I think of ACD's Holmes's quick dismissal of Dupin - of course BBC's Sherlock wouldn't have read Poe!) And Mycroft, in the wings, too.

Sherlock had pineed it to the wall and used the bears as his next firing target until John noticed that they all bore names - Lestrade’s, Mrs Hudson’s and his - in minute curlicued characters. Sherlock had ground his teeth and fired at Goldilocks instead.
This was when Little Bear had given up and, taking Mummy Bear’s advice, called Daddy Bear for help.
