'The Red on White' - Part Four

May 20, 2007 20:03

Here is the final part of my review of 'The Red on White'.

Again I have actor questions - who play Hope, Drebber and Stangerson?

Hope - Nikolay Karachentsov
Drebber - Adolf Ilyin
Stangerson - Victor Aristov

Hope - Nikolay Karachentsov (a very well known theatre and movie actor)

Drebber - Adolf Ilyin

Stangerson - Victor Aristov (he is more known as a producer than as an actor if I'm not mistaken)

(Got here through Holmeslash) I want to say that I have enjoyed your reviews so far. I have only watched the episodes once and now will go back to watch again. It's interesting to find out that many of the questions I have had regarding the sets, clothes, translations, behaviors, etc, etc about this series are being discussed. Having alek_morse's insight as well as yours is wonderful. I hope you keep reviewing.

I'm glad you've enjoyed my reviews :) this week I plan to do some more in-depth stuff including take a few pictures of the modern day locations (if I remember :P) just for comparison.

As for more reviews, we'll see. Probably. :)

Don't worry, I've been doing random things this week and haven't been able to sit down and do the in-depth thing I said I would. It will get done, just might take a it longer as I'm going to be doing an article for the Sherlock Holmes Society Journal (not on the Russian series,a completely unrelated matter ( ... )

I really wouldn't have know that Lestrade was dubbed. It's fantastically done. I certainly see what you mean about the Russians being excellent dubbers - I'm very impressed. I knew that Moriarty was dubbed (might have read that on the Baker Street Dozen web site), but would never have known about Lestrade ( ... )

I'll have to try to find some photographs of the interior for you. Whilst I'm not sure too sure it looked like it was pictured in the film, I think it's good enough in detail with the peeling paper, run down looking building and cramped office space to get the idea ( ... )
