'Sherlock Holmes - A Game of Shadows'

It's officially awards season*! They announced the BAFTA nominations this morning, and I think it's going to prove to be an exciting year.

(Annoyingly, due to swallowing a small hedgehog and the whole pain in back thing I ended up having to miss 'Carancho' and 'The First Grader').

Almost at the end of this years LFF :((, only got three more films left to see ('Carancho', 'The Kids are Alright' and 'Truce) but I haven't been disappointed by what I've managed to see this year. Special bonus review of 'Or You Could Kiss Me', the Neil Bartlett play at the National.

I'm back to work today after a fantastic weekend off :))

Friday was hanging with Holmesians day. Had lots of fun at the National Army Museum with spacefall, kathie_d, wolfie_sara and pudupudu, it's unfortunate that the Cold War section was under construction but their Conflicts of Interest section was brilliantly set up. I saw one 3D film this year (’UP’) and I couldn’t see the fuss (film was good, 3D pointless) - if you want to see 3D go to the theatre.

'An Inspector Calls' was the most amazing, intense and fantastic thing I have ever seen - on stage or otherwise. The staging was beyond perfect, the set should have got a round of applause of its own as it was so very much part of it all... oh and the lighting! The lighting was gorgeous, seriously.
