Group Sunday
Just a little jog to say it's the December meeting of the Sheffield SF Group tomorrow (Sunday), kicking off about 1 pm, in the Sheffield Tap as usual.

Chris Croughton's Funeral
As some of you will be aware, keristor's funeral is on Wednesday 30th, 2pm in Olney.
I'll be driving down, aiming to leave Halfway at around eleven.
Would any Sheffield types want a lift? I can pick people up in town a bit sooner if required. -

Best books since 1971
Some of us were at the fortieth Novacon this weekend in Nottingham. One of the things they did to look back on sf since 1971, was to ask us each to nominate up to 5 books, published during the last 40 years, which in our view were the best books over that period.

Looking to schedule a ZZ9 Slouch in Sheffield
Hiya
I'm looking to organise a ZZ9 Plural Z Alpha slouch around Sheffield in January 2010.
Any of the Sheffield SF lot are very welcome indeed whether you're members of ZZ9 or not.
I'm looking at a couple of dates - 23rd and 30th of January.
Are there any problems anyone can see with those dates?
Anyone here likely to be coming along?
