Best books since 1971

Some of us were at the fortieth Novacon this weekend in Nottingham. One of the things they did to look back on sf since 1971, was to ask us each to nominate up to 5 books, published during the last 40 years, which in our view were the best books over that period.

What would you have nominated?

Oops. I don't look here often enough.

I only attended N40 on the Sunday and didn't have time to add my 2p worth.

So now...

Greg Egan - Diaspora

Charles Stross - Accelerando

William Gibson - Neuromancer

John Brunner - The Shockwave Rider

and, yes,

Larry Niven - Ringworld
