Cuddlecuddlecuddle! Daddy makes everything better. Spots snuggles into his daddy and sniffles a little.

Gabriel bites his lip, wrapping his arms around the kraken and resting his cheek comfortingly on Spots' slimy head. Clearly the bacubaby misses his actual mother, and Gabe is just a poor substitute. D: D: D:

Or feed Spots enough human flesh. Spots tries to nibble on his arm, very very sadly.

Clark has been blissfully ignoring the pool. As far as he's concerned, it doesn't exist.

A baby kraken, however, is decidedly more difficult to ignore.

Spots can try, if it would like to break its ... teeth biting apparatus on Clark's skin. Once it gets through the workboot, of course.

He stares down at it. "How did you get here, anyway?"

...Spots doesn’t have any teeth yet. He’s too little. (And drowned sailors are much easier to ingest than live human people, even normal ones.) So Clark’s foot gets gummed on a bit, and then he gives up, and slumps, and cuddles Clark’s ankle.

What Thomas sees at first is a rather odd squid. But then he hears it talking, which can mean only one thing.

He hurries over, kneeling to be on a better level with the thing. "You okay kid?"

Oooh. It's a people, and not a Daddy-people.

Spots blinks up at him with enormous baby-blue eyes and asks "....mummy?"

"No kiddo, I'm not your mommy. C'mere little guy." His fingers stretch down, a little like tentacles, to give the guy something to grab onto. Such a cute little joker baby.

Hello, Thomas, you are Spots' new BEST FRIEND EVER.

In gratitude, he tries to eat the fingers. He doesn't have teeth yet, so really it's just like being gummed by a slimy, enthusiastic baby. One that's also cuddling with many, many tentacles.
