I love goldfish, they're so stupidly adorable. I have two, Merlin and Maestro, who live in a 30 gallon aquarium with a weather loach named Hieronymus Bosch. (Long fish, long name--it made sense at the time, anyway.)

I took my new Shubunkin downstairs in a small tank once just to show everyone before she went in the big tank in my room (which weighs about twice what I do so I obviously cannot lift it). My friend's boyfriend tapped an inch of ash off his cigarette into the tank, because he's an arsehole.

The fish ate it.

She's still alive. Her name is Colin Baker!

I think the Ryukins and pearlscales are my favorites, but my two boys are just garden-variety fantails. Common except that Merlin somehow changed color from orange to white...hence the name. :)
