1. I've decided to go back to school, hopefully for Book and Magazine Publishing, but I'm also applying to Translation (Spanish-English) and Community Arts Practice!!!

2. I'm teaching myself Spanish, which I'd meant to do years ago.  So happy!

3. Ben just got a job with the City of Toronto and is moving here in one month!!!!

I'm trying to work really hard on things: this miniature story book, new binding projects, a thousand custom orders, short stories, etc.  I'm going to be in a show at the Gladstone next next Thursday, please come if you're in/around Toronto.  I am making myself finish the small-small story book in time for SnK, which is already coming up soon.

Ah! Last night I attended the best/most fun show that has ever existed.  I went for Bocce, but was so so so overimpressed by Giselle Numba One, who is a potentially Wiccan, too incredible Montreal-based rapper.  God god, it was the best.  And it made my night better because I'd been feeling decidedly unfeminist this Women's Day, and she has this ( Read more... )

I just got this job that seems pretty wonderful: it mostly involves working for a craft consignment shop, doing sewing and teaching bookbinding workshops.  I also started to volunteer with this amazingly run women's shelter on Bloor.  The shelter is especially wonderful as they help their volunteers to work within their own skill and ( Read more... )
