The problem is all the people who do not understand that a business meeting can be quick and painless if you just stick to the topic at hand and not go off on tangents every minute.

Siegfried takes over as seneschal on Feb 1st. We'll see if he can change the meetings around.

I hope he enjoys it.

One of the things that makes meetings longer than they need to be, is that people like to schmooze. I remember when I first was going to Ponte Alto's business meetings and they would have supper afterwards. I liked that because then those that wanted to schmooze, could, at supper, afterwards. Those that had time constraints weren't stuck in overly long meetings. Everyone wins! ;-p

I understand. The hard part is finding the balance between staying on topic and having enough conversation to make sure people have their say.

I always set myself up so I could see the clock - I was lost when the took down the clock.
