So, I am doing the feast for Ponte Alto's event on Febryary 15th.

And I need a kitchen staff.  Seriously, I need one.  Anyone want to help in the ktichen?

(And yes, I know that there are no "day-trip" prices to the event.  I want to have a convo about that w/ teh autocrat if it is a serious issue for anyone who wants to work.)

OK, this one is (mostly) posed to my SCAdian friends, although Rennies might know a source as well.

I need to find socks for Siegfried to wear w/ late period garb (i.e. simple Elizabethan).  Specifically, I need a pair that will stay up. I got him a pair a few years ago but they have no staying power.  If there was any elastic/hold in the above knee ( Read more... )

Didn't stay up New Years Eve.  I rarely do.  We make an arbitary division to the years and times, and I am not a big party person so there's not been much excitement on that night for me for a long, long time.  Besides, after the trip we had I needed the rest time.  :)

Quick post-event thoughts on the lunch. You know, each and every time I do something food-related I always learn something new. Sometimes the things are very specific to the time and type of event ; other times they are things that can transfer to other events.

Not a real entry at all. Yesterday was...well...interesting. Amazingly bad and yet a few good highlights. As events go I have seen better, I have seen worse. Same with actions of people. Ah well. Life goes on.
