Sorry to hear about the bad news with Kaddo; I feel at least partially responsible since I originally had recommended them.

I won't be going back there myself.

Ah, I thought it was spiffstress who recommended them, and then cartalk's website that also had good reviews for them!

Ok, I learned there are two cam shaft sensors, and it was the second one that failed...the shop said it did look like the other was replaced. Whew.

one of the smartest things I've ever heard was that whenever a shop says they have to replace the part, ask for the part that they take out. It kinda forces them to prove it. I'm always like "yeah, I'm an engineer, I like to take shit apart. And since I own the thing..."
