I haven't enjoyed myself like that in a long time. Got invited down to Shewolf1's place for the afternoon yesterday. I needed to get out of town anyway. 3000 Jehovah's Witnesses having a convention is more than a bit much for this otter. Traffic was fairly steady for most of the way, but that wasn't surprising. With help from Shewolf1 I got the required firefighting ticket, an application form and am on her fire fighting crew. If she gets called to be on standby tomorrow then I will get a call as well. At least it's not Convergys. *Shudders* and the pay is better. I'll try to get a few pics as well. I'll see what happens.

So much for Canada Day. Was supposed to go for a hike with shewolf1 in Wells Gray Provincial Park, but that got scrubbed at the last moment because she discovered her motorcycle had a flat, thanks to a roofing nail. Just got home from the doctor. I had gone in to see him because it feels like my thyroid is swelling up. If I don't do anything about it, I will start to "dry heave", sometimes severely (To the point where I actually come close to passing out.). Got home a little while ago from the Vernon area. Yesterday and today a wildfire fighting outfit from Alberta has let me tag along. Yesterday was mostly job shadowing,though I did participate ine lesson on identifying hazards.
