wow, madison is great. of course, compared to blacksburg, I think most parts of Iraq are considered great. It's just so..................... flat. wow, now i remember why I never go to concerts. so incredibly boring. After weighing money issues, possible placement, compatability with my interests, and general quality of life issues, I accepted Wisconsin-Madison's offer and entered their Economics PhD program. I'm now a god damn badger.

UPDATE in light of the fact that UCLA has no money at all and does not even have money to fund student-led experiments right now I think the wiser choice is Wisconsin. BEHOLD MY OBEDIENCE TO THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR!

well my main reason for considering wisconsin has become a non-issue, so it looks like I'm going to UCLA for the next 5 years.
