So, met with Dr. Davis yesterday. It was a meet and greet mostly, for us to talk with him and lay out our various issues.

After talking with Lynn a bit he's set up for Lynn to have a hearing test and investigating his memory issues. He thinks most of the issues are related to these two. And .. I can totally see that. So we'll start with that and ( Read more... )

I thought I'd mentioned PCOS as being a highly likely cause of the issues? Sorry if I never did, because I thought I did...

You may have, to be honest. I've heard it from various people but haven't looked much into it since no insurance and no money. Hopefully we can keep the ball rolling on good stuffs.

My bestie has PCOS and she's had several of the symptoms you mentioned. She is being treated for it and it's made a difference for her.

I do hope that we can fix this .. or at least find out what's going on. I do fear taking pills all the time and the possible return of a monthly period .. but I suspect it'll be worth it.

You always have choices. You just have to decide what you want the outcome to be and act accordingly.

Very true. And I was very clear with him that I'm not particularly wanting a monthly cycle or fertility. So we can keep that in mind when looking at treatment options. :)

I too know a couple of people with PCOS that have mentioned similar symptoms. So hopefully you'll get to the bottom of what's causing it all.

And boo to those docs and family members that just criticised and didn't help. That's just not cool behaviour towards anyone.

Knowing what's going on would be a nice change from the norm for me. :)

I don't get people sometimes. But I'm very glad to have supportive friends and family around me now. :)
